Carnival celebrations occupy the streets of Prague every winter season since 2007. Beside open air events, such as the opening of the city gates or the grand parade of masks it also includes many indoor events, like the miraculous Crystal Ball - the restoration of a baroque ball in masks, or the Cuisine D‘Alchimiste, a special carnival food block, which introduces Prague’s top restaurants presenting themselves with carnival menus. This 12 days period is not only a colorful show of historical allegorical festivities, but also above all a laboratory of contemporary great ideas, unique skills, sophisticated tastes and splendid creativity.
