Beyond Teambuilding: A Meaningful CSR Initiative in Prague

VANADOO had the privilege of going beyond just organizing events, gala evenings, and celebrations. We planned a CSR initiative for our client, P&G, which turned into a truly memorable experience. We’d love to share it with you as inspiration for incorporating corporate social responsibility into your events in Prague and the Czech Republic.

Our client asked us to organize a teambuilding event for a local team of 30 logistics professionals. This time, they wanted something more—something meaningful and inspiring that would create a shared experience. We love ambitious projects, so we saw this as the perfect opportunity for an out-of-the-box idea.

We partnered with FOCUS PRAHA, a non-profit supporting people with mental illnesses by helping them live independently rather than in institutions. P&G chose to support Lehovec, a protected housing facility, focusing on renovating its neglected garden and equipping it with wooden furniture to create a relaxing outdoor space.

Instead of simply purchasing furniture, we proposed that the team build it themselves in a DIY workshop in Prague, complete with tools and expert guidance. To maximize the garden’s potential, we also involved landscape architects who designed functional plant and seating areas. A small group of participants even created Tiffany-style glass artworks, which were later hung in the trees.

The event atmosphere was fantastic, and participants appreciated the hands-on experience. “In the office, we usually work with numbers and statistics, so creating something tangible was incredibly rewarding,” said one attendee. In the afternoon, the furniture was officially handed over, and the residents of Lehovec were thrilled—they received something they could never afford, made especially for them.

The project doesn’t end here—seasonal gardening activities are planned for spring, and many participants have already signed up, some even bringing their families. At VANADOO, we’ve also committed to volunteering at Lehovec throughout the year. Together, we’re making a difference!
